Yesterday was very full, with the 25 First Year nursing students coming to the lab to see the cultures growing from their nose swabs, and a host of other  microbiological delights. Thankfully they did not all come at once and seemed to enjoy the experience. Then at 5pm people started gathering to say their goodbyes to Drs Elisabeth and Shubhro, previously Medical Superintendent at KSN, and Surgeon Gordon, and wife Mary, who has been helping out in the operating theatre. They have all been here from the time I arrived, and the meal table will seem very quiet without them. There was, as usual, some beautiful dancing and singing from the nursing students, and then various people paid tribute to the contributions these four people had made to the life of the hospital. At the end there was cha and singara and opportunities to have those final conversations.

Three of the theatre nurses sorry that Gordon is leaving
Although the Scottish contingent is leaving I will not be on my own
