Because the Nursing Training School dining room is catering on a huge scale – 100 meals every mealtime – when we have luchi, the deep-fried flatbread, it is often limp and flat. This is the perfect luchi, crisp and puffed up, delicious when served with ghugni – a sort of spicy yellow chick pea like mixture. The catering team excelled themselves this morning.
After a disappointing experience at the Ash Wednesday service at the Central Church, this morning couldn’t have been more different. I was made so welcome by so many different people, plus I had the delight of walking home afterwards with my daughters, now increased to 28 in number. They are my pride and joy.
